Playing With Chalk Talk

Here's a card I made with the Chalk Talk stamp set.  I find myself pulling this stamp set off the shelf a lot lately.

And below is a tip that has been around for a while, but maybe it is new to someone, so I will share it.  I used to try to cut the little ends in my banners, but I could never get them symmetrical until I learned how to make them with my square punch.  Ta da!!!

I Love Leftovers

I really do love leftovers. Most days my lunch mimics my dinner from the night before. I recently helped plan a wedding for my sweet stepdaughter Morgan.  When it was all over, there were some "leftovers" and I used some of them on this project.  The tulle, purple ribbon, and taffy for this little treat bag were extras from the wedding.

Let's talk about the stamp set that I used for the tag. It is called Chalk Talk, and I think it is my current favorite. Stampin' Up also offers a coordinating die set so that you can cut the images out with ease. You can purchase the stamp set and dies separately or together in a bundle. It was so quick and easy to stamp the tag, cut it with the die, and pop it on the ribbon. Here are the images from Chalk Talk stamp set and the coordinating dies.

I love the whole bread bag fastener idea.  I think that is going to be my go-to tag for the holidays.

I used a retired ink pad from Stampin' Up that I have had for 6 years and it is still going strong.  One thing I love about this company is the quality of their products.  You are going to love their stamp pads, and they will last.  Even if you do use up all of the ink in the stamp pad, you can buy a refill and re-ink it, but I have personally never had to do that for any of my pads.

An Exciting Announcement!

I have some very exciting news...I am now a Stampin' Up! demonstrator!! I have decided to share what I love with others.  I have been a fan of Stampin' Up! products for years, and now you can purchase their products through me.

In the interest of keeping things real, you will notice that I will be using a combination of products that I already have along with new products that Stampin' Up! offers. I will always include a list of products that I use in the projects I showcase on this blog. If a product I use is no longer available, I will try to direct you to a similar product in the current Stampin' Up! lineup. I try to be a thrifty girl, and I would always encourage you to use what you have on hand in combination with new products, and I will be doing the same here.

Do you like my cute owl card? I made this for my monthly card exchange where I get together with 5 other awesome ladies and we have dinner and exchange cards that we have made. This card was super fun to make. Isn't the little owl just the sweetest thing? My daughter-in-law, Jessica, crocheted a bunch of them for me, and was just dying to use them on a card design.
